Starting Thursday, Nov 4, Florida Gateway College will host the 2021 FCSAA State/NJCAA Division II Region 8 Volleyball Tournament in the Howard Center.

“The sport of volleyball has been at the forefront of establishing Division II competition within the FCSAA,” said Rob Chaney, FCSAA Associate Director and Athletics Commissioner. “From the outset, the Division II state tournament has been held on campus, which I believe has only helped increase excitement within the sport.

“Florida Gateway College has a rich athletics tradition, and the FCSAA looks forward to welcoming teams to Lake City for three days of championship-level volleyball.”

The tournament will consist of 12 matches over three days with a final match at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, deciding the FCSAA/NJCAA Region 8 Champion.

FGC invites the public to come to the Howard Center and cheer on their favorite teams as they vie for the title of NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA State Champion.  Admission is $5 per person.
