October 29, 2021 FGC Women’s Cross Country Finishes Third at Championship Share Share this post Twitter Facebook eMail Copy URL Copy Florida Gateway College Women’s Cross Country team finished strong at the FCSAA State/NJCAA Region 8 Championships today at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee. The team completed the 5K event in third place with freshman Ariel Anderson finishing in fifth place with an individual time of 21:06.50 in a field of 61 runners. This is the first time that an FGC runner has finished in the top 10 at Regionals. Ariel Anderson “The teams just ahead of us are ranked top 10 nationally,” said FGC coach April Morse. “All of our ladies had a Personal Record but one, and she still had a course PR. Fallon Flynn dropped her personal best by a minute. “I’m so proud of the team. Their average time was 21:57, which is an FGC team best as well. On to Nationals.” FGC Women’s Cross Country is headed to the NJCAA 5K National Championships in Richmond, VA, on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021. Previous Article Next Article
