LAKE CITY, Fla. – On Friday, April 15, four bands will take the stage of the Levy Auditorium for the first-ever FGC Rock Festival.

The event will feature:

Heavy Petty – Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers hometown tribute
WE LOVE TOM PETTY. WE LOVE GAINESVILLE.
This “one story town” is unique to Florida. It’s swampy and southern, just like us.
We grew up here listening to Tom Petty’s music and stories from friends and strangers that knew Tommy. You can see (literally, since there are several murals now) Tom everywhere you go. You listen to those lyrics and can drive past Lillian’s or 441 and get a sense of what Dreamville meant to him.
We started HEAVY PETTY in 2009 for a one night only show and almost a decade later, we have fans all across the nation. We are a musical tribute band based in Tom Petty’s hometown. We have great musical influences and make the music our own while paying tribute to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
Now more than ever, we want to keep his music alive and thriving for generations to come.
You may come for Tom Petty, but you’ll stay for HEAVY PETTY.

Dylan GerardDylan is an SSM Nashville artist and singer/songwriter from small-town Macclenny, FL. Steeped in southern soul and the crooning styles of yester-year. He is creating music that could be defined as a representation of Country and Americana Blues. Dylan caught his biggest break on Season 13 of NBC’s The Voice where he made it to the knockout rounds on Team Adam. His first single “Simple Things” reached #37 on the MusicRow Country Breakout Chart and is being followed up by his second single “Please Don’t Let Me.“
