March 2, 2023 FGC Basketball to Play at Home Saturday for Conference Championship Share Share this post Twitter Facebook eMail Copy URL Copy LAKE CITY, Fla. – On Saturday, March 4, Florida Gateway College Men’s Basketball will play at home for the NJCAA Division II Region VIII Championship. The FGC Timberwolves defeated Palm Beach State College 92-79 on March 25 to clinch the top seed in the Region VIII Tournament being hosted in the Howard Center this weekend. At 7 p.m. Friday, Palm Beach State will face Pasco-Hernando State College, with the winner moving on to play FGC for the title at 2 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free for both games. A victory for the Wolves would advance FGC to the South Atlantic B Championship Game on March 11 where they would play for a spot in the NJCAA DII National Championship Tournament.
