Unlike grants and scholarships, loans must be repaid and usually accrues interest. Most student loans are issued by the federal government, however, there are also private loans for students and parents, as well as some institutional loans.

Federal Loans

Federal loans include Federal Subsidized, Federal Unsubsidized, and Parent Loans for Undergraduate Students. The criteria for obtaining these loans follow those used in obtaining federal grants. For more information, visit www.studentloans.gov.
