September 26, 2022 Hurricane Ian Share Share this post Twitter Facebook eMail Copy URL Copy After consulting with public officials and monitoring the storm track of Ida we have decided to close all campuses and cancel all college activities at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, September 28th. through Sunday, October 2nd. UPDATED : Tuesday, 9/27/22 at 11:42 AM Due to the approach of Hurricane Ian, Florida Gateway College, including all offices, residence halls, and satellite locations, will be closed Thursday, Sept. 29 through Sunday, Oct. 2. All classes, college activities, and events during this time will be canceled or postponed. FGC administrators remain in communication with local and state emergency management officials. The college community is encouraged to monitor local and national news and emergency management departments and to take appropriate precautions as advised by state and local officials. At this time, FGC is expected to resume normal operations on Monday, Oct. 3. Students and employees should monitor the college website, college email accounts, and college social media channels for updates on FGC operations.
