February 8, 2022 FGC to offer Adult Basic Education and GED test prep at Dixie Center Share Share this post Twitter Facebook eMail Copy URL Copy CROSS CITY, Fla. – Beginning February 14, Florida Gateway College will offer Adult Basic Education (ABE) and GED preparation at the FGC Dixie Center in Cross City. The program is for adults age 16 and older who are interested in completing their high school education. Tuition is $30 per term, and a valid photo ID is required to enroll. ABE classes provide basic skills instruction in reading, language, and/or mathematics and critical thinking skills to equip students for GED preparation, postsecondary education, and/or employment. The GED program prepares students to pass the official GED tests and obtain their State of Florida High School Diploma by presenting the knowledge and skills necessary in four content areas: Reasoning through Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
