LAKE CITY, Fla. – The runners of Florida Gateway College Men’s and Women’s Cross Country are bound for the NJCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships in Huntsville, Alabama, on Saturday, November 11.

“We are looking forward to our first national meet,” said FGC men’s head coach Ed Morse. “The guys are healthy and running well. We hope they have their best runs of the season.”

FGC Women gained three positions in week four of the NJCAA DII Women’s Cross Country National Coaches’ Poll released November 1. The team currently sits at No. 12 in the nation.

“We typically perform better than our rankings once we get to nationals,” said women’s head coach April Morse, “So hopefully everyone will be healthy and ready to break into the top ten.”

Soon after the event, both FGC teams will be running the NJCAA National Half Marathon Championships on Tuesday, November 14.
