LAKE CITY, Fla. – On Saturday, November 1, Florida Gateway College will host the 2025 Timberwolves Homecoming 5K presented by Columbia Drip Bar and the Foundation for Florida Gateway College. The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. on the campus of FGC, and all proceeds will benefit the FGC Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams.

“The funds raised will go towards an FGC Foundation Endowment Fund created for future Cross Country and FGC Athletics recipients to gain an education at the college,” said Women’s Head Coach and event organizer April Morse. “Many of the athletes we have had on our cross country teams did not originally plan to attend college and would not have, if not for the offer to run for FGC. This endowment fund will allow us to apply for matching funds from the State of Florida, helping to ensure these scholarships are available to FGC athletes for years to come.”

Community members of all ages and abilities are invited and encouraged to participate. The course will take runners/walkers throughout the campus of FGC along mostly paved roads and sidewalks with some cross-country grass and gravel paths.

Awards will include Top 3 Overall Male and Female, as well as age group awards: under 10, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. New awards this year will be the Top 5 Male and Female FGC Alumni.

Entrance fee is $35 and includes commemorative t-shirt. T-shirt guaranteed when registered by October 20, 2025. Registration is open now at www.fgc.edu/5K.
