The Lake City Medical Center Medical Staff support FGC Foundation and Athletics in a Big Way

In 2017, intercollegiate athletics returned to Florida Gateway College after a decade. Reintroducing a sports program comes with a lot of challenges, but with the help of community partners, the endeavor has been a rousing success.

Key to making this possible have been the generous contributions of Lake City Medical Center and The Medical Staff of Lake City Medical Center.

LCMC Medical Staff have committed to an initial lump sum to support for the Foundation for Florida Gateway College to achieve a goal of community support anchored in a commitment to physical and mental health and well-being.

The donation and ongoing partnership with the FGC Foundation, will benefit students across the organization with financial support and program development.

“We are a huge proponent of supporting our community in many ways. We strive to make life better in Lake City with every action we take, and our Medical Staff carries that mission as well.”  Commented Rick Naegler, CEO of Lake City Medical Center “We are proud of our Partnership with FGC athletics and the enjoyment it has brought to our community.”

With these donations, the contribution from Lake City Medical Center and the Medical Staff of Lake City Medical Center will be over $15,000 this year.

“Any chance where we can provide advocacy and care for our community, we willOur mission states: Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.” Rick Naegler, “ This is a chance for us to provide advocacy to our community through an environmental enhancement to students, so they will learn and develop locally to the benefit of Lake City”
