You are a guest student if you are currently enrolled at another college or university and plan to take FGC courses that can be transferred back to your home institution. Transient students attend on a term-by-term basis and are not pursuing a degree at FGC. We’re glad you’ve decided to be our guest!

Please follow the steps below as you plan your FGC educational career as a guest student. Remember that we are here to help you through this process and your success is important to us.

Students Attending Florida Public Colleges and Universities

Apply for Admission – Free!

Apply online at www.floridashines.org.

In the Get Started section, select “Take a course at another school” and then choose “Apply or Check Application Status Now.”

This form will need to be completed every term that you take a course at FGC as a transient student, so that your institution can approve courses that will apply to your degree. The form is sent to your home institution for approval first and then will be routed to FGC.

Proof of Residency

Your home institution will certify your residency when approving your transient request.

Financial Aid at your home institution

If you receive financial aid at your home institution, indicate on your Florida Shines application whether you want to use financial aid for your transient classes at FGC.

Contact the Financial Aid Office at your home institution if you have any questions.

Register for Classes

You will receive your log in information for your MyFGC portal in your acceptance letter via postal mail.  Once you receive this information, you may log in and register for courses.
