Graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University, with a BA in philosophy (1975). Teaching Assistant, University of Illinois, from 1975 to 1979; and passed qualifying exams for the PhD there. Has taught for FGC for over 30 years; was awarded a FullBright scholarship to India (1985). Has written numerous essays earmarked for each class taught to date.
