James Givvines has been teaching Physics, Astronomy and sometimes math at Florida Gateway College since 2007. In addition to holding a Masters Degree in Applied Mathematics, he has completed many graduate courses in Physics and Astronomy while working toward a Ph.D. Professor Givvines has coached the FGC Brain Bowl team since 2008. To date, FGC’s Quiz Bowl team’s highest finish was 8th in the NAQT 2014 Community College Championship.
