All camps will have drop off/check in from 7:45am – 8:00am at the Howard Center, Building 10, and pick-up from 4:45pm – 5:00pm. All campers will receive lunch provided by the FGC Gateway Grill and a camp T-shirt.
Running Camp 2019

Learn How to Run Smarter, Not Harder
Do you want to learn the secrets to enjoyable running? Whether you are a beginner, learning how to breathe while learning how to pace yourself; or can already outrun everybody on the soccer field – you can always learn tips & techniques to not only just finish a race if that is your goal, but perhaps tap into your potential to become an elite runner. The coaches at the FGC running camp have run in HS, placed 2nd at the State Track Meet in the Mile, qualified for Junior College Nationals as well as NAIA Nationals in track & cross country, been part of NJCAA National Championship track teams, placed in the top 10 teams at Nationals in XC at the NAIA level, placed in the top 50 finishers at the Boston Marathon overall women, and coached middle and high school runners to State Championships, with multiple state champions from right here in Columbia County. Coach Edward & April Morse have also been on the coaching staff at the Nike Smoky Mountain Running Camp every summer since 2010. Environmental Science 2019

Camp adventurers will explore topics and careers in environmental science and agriculture. You will learn about wetland ecology, water quality, plant identification, and plant care for the Lake City region. Gain hands-on experience in our water laboratory and in the field. Discover the future of environmental science and agriculture with state of the art virtual reality simulation. Come and discover the vast career options in environmental science and agriculture.
Adventurers are strongly encouraged to bring a Wi-Fi enabled cellular device (for VR exploration) and an empty clear 2-litter soda bottle. All other materials will be provided you.
Public Safety Training Camp 2019
This two day camp will explore the many exciting jobs within the law enforcement, firefighting, and emergency medical service professions. Each day will begin at 8:00 am with a fitness workout. Student will then have fun each day participating in crime scene processing, first responder first aid, defensive tactics, and firefighting hose management. Campers will learn about the skills necessary for being a public safety professional. They are encouraged to bring a change of clothes each day, but not required. Lunch will be provided at 12:00pm and pickup will be at 4:45pm each day. Please note this camp will take place at our Olustee Campus.

Soccer Camp 2019

The goal of the FGC Soccer Summer camp is to spread one of the oldest international languages in our community! Children will have the opportunity to learn how to control a ball, technical, and strategy all while having a fun time! It is an excellent growing opportunity and a chance to learn more about the beautiful sport!

Theater Camp 2019
Jun 24 – Jun 25, 2019
Florida Gateway College’s Theater Summer Camp invites campers to explore their imaginations as they create their very own original musical! Guided by Professor Todd Siff and FGC Theater students, campers will experience the theatrical process from start to finish and build upon their skill set by writing, staging, designing, choreographing, and acting out their ideas on the stage. Campers will also strengthen their singing, songwriting, communication, and collaboration skills. On the 25th of June, the campers will then present their original musical to the world with a one time only performance!
Campers should bring:
– closed toed shoes

Volleyball Camp 2019
Jun 26 – Jun 27, 2019
FGC Volleyball camp is open to boys and girls. This is a beginning/developmental camp. Suggested grade level: third to ninth grade. The camp will focus on basic individual skill development in passing, attacking, setting, serving, blocking and some team play. Please wear comfortable athletic clothing and athletic shoes, please no sandals/crocs. If you have kneepads, please bring them with you. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated!
Fishing Mission Camp 2019
This exciting and informative camp is designed to wet the lines of campers between the ages of 10-18 and dive head-first into the sport of bass fishing! This popular camp returns in 2019 with more classes, more instructors, and more time for fishing! Campers will attend four days of mini-workshops on a wide range of topics to learn about baits, techniques, and fish biology – and then apply what they learned with daily fishing time. Campers will learn from professional anglers, biologists, and FWC Law Enforcement to learn everything they need to begin or excel at the fast-growing sport of bass fishing.

Basketball Camp 2019

FGC Basketball Camp is open to boys and girls between the ages of 8 – 16. Campers will experience a fun and friendly atmosphere with coach Instruction for skills, drills and competitive games. Campers will get hands on instruction by coaches / college players. Please wear athletic clothing and shoes and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Boys Power Leadership Camp 2019
Jul 15 – Jul 16, 2019
Boy Power Leadership is open to young men between the ages of 8-16. Campers will be exploring topics of study including strong business skills, relationship building, and career exploration along with social skills, manners, and overall self-awareness. Activities during the camp will include opportunities to work in the automotive lab for a quick oil change, sessions with leaders from the community to focus on work ethics, along with hands on projects.
Jul 17 – Jul 18, 2019
Our STEM camp will be a great opportunities for kids of all age to explore science and technology with no experience needed. This will be a two day camp with fun hands-on experiences using science, engineering, mathematics and statistics. These experiences and knowledge are designed to build critical thinking, thinking outside of the box and technical skills. Which campers would be able to use later in their classes and in real life.
Girl Power Leadership Camp 2019

Girl Power Leadership is open to girls between the ages of 8-16. Campers will focus on empowerment and strong leadership skills for women in leadership roles. Activities during the camp will allow girls to develop skills in communication, motivation and project management. The participants will also hear from fantastic women in our business community and other areas of leadership.
Cheer Camp 2019
Jul 24 – Jul 25, 2019
FGC Cheer Camp is open to boys and girls alike of all skill levels from beginners to advanced. Campers will learn all the aspects of cheerleading including motions, jumps, tumbling and stunting. During the camp participants will also learn a routine that encompasses all the skills they learned throughout the day to be performed at the end of camp and will be invited to do the performance at a FGC Home Volleyball game in August.
