Open House is offered once a year during the fall semester. The event is open to prospective students and their families and friends, as well as community members. Faculty and staff from all areas of campus come together to provide a program that includes the following
- Presentation on enrollment process
- Interactive Campus Tour
- Session on paying for college
- Academic, enrollment and student services department fair
- A chance to win one of two $500 tuition giveaways

One-Stop Enrollment Day
One-Stop Enrollment Day is offered once every semester (fall, spring and summer). This is a day where new and returning students can drop-in and complete their enrollmnet process in one day at one location. Whether you need to get started or finish your enrollment at FGC, our staff will be available to help you:
- Apply for admissions
- Apply for financial aid
- Complete placement testing
- Receive academic advising
- Register for classes
- Pay your tuition bill or sign up for the payment plan
- Tour campus
- Obtain your student ID
- Learn more about campus services like TRIO and tutoring
FGC hosts this annual event as part of the Florida College Tour, where colleges and universities across the southeast participate. The event is open to everyone and provides the opportunity for individuals to connect with representatives from many different colleges, including FGC’s faculty and staff. College Night typically occurs at the end of August each year. College Night is held in the Howard Center and it starts at 5PM and ends at 6:30PM.

What: Tri-County’s World’s Greatest Baby Shower. The purpose of this shower is to promote prenatal and infant health care, and to increase knowledge of community resources.
Where: Trenton Elementary School Cafeteria, located at 1350 SW State Road 26, Trenton, FL.
When: Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 5PM to 7PM.
What: Fire/EMS Expo
Where: Dixie County High School, located at 17924 SE Hwy 19, Cross City, FL 32628.
When: Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 10AM to 2PM.
What: College and Career Fair
Where: Columbia High School Gymnasium
Who: For current Columbia High School students in order to provide them the opportunity to explore their college and career options.
When: October 2, 2018 from 5PM to 7PM
What: Columbia-Hamilton’s World’s Greatest Baby Shower. The purpose of this shower is to educate expectant and new parents in a fun and friendly atmosphere which will promote prenatal and infant healthcare, and increase knowledge of community resources.
Where: Richardson Community Center Gymnasium, located at 255 NE Coach Anders Lane, Lake City, FL.
When: Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 3PM to 5PM.
