You are a personal enrichment/non-degree student if you do not plan to pursue a degree or certificate at FGC. Whether you’re taking courses for personal enrichment or looking to update a certification or skillset for your job, we’re happy to help you reach those goals.
Please follow the steps below to enroll as a non-degree student. Keep in mind that only first two enrollment steps (apply and high school transcript) are required for admission, but some remaining steps can be completed simultaneously to expedite your enrollment. Remember that we are here to help you through this process and your success is important to us.
Send transcripts to Enrollment Services, 149 SE College Place, Lake City, FL 32025.
While transcripts from colleges you previously attended are not required, the courses you previously completed may help you meet course prerequisites at FGC. Go ahead and turn in your official college transcripts to avoid inconvenience at registration and have it on file just in case you decide to pursue a program.
Receive your letter of acceptance that will include important information like log-in information for MyFGC and student email, as well as steps following admission.
This requirement allows you to receive in-state tuition rates. You may complete this step when you apply for admission by submitting the residency form and documents. Proving residency reduces your tuition over 70%. For example, a 3 credit class will cost $310 instead of $1175.
Advising is not required for non-degree students. However, you are welcome to set up a meeting with an advisor to go over your unofficial transcripts and discuss your need for prerequisites and/or placement testing. Make an appointment by contacting Office of Advising Services at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 386-754-4222. Advising is located Student Union Building, Bldg. 14.
Register through MyFGC or in person at the Office of Enrollment Services in Bldg. 15.
