Nail Specialty, Occupational Certificate (O.C.) – 180 clock hours, 6 occupational credit hours
The Nail Specialty Certificate program provides students with the skills and techniques needed to become a Florida licensed Nail Specialist. This program is a one-semester program offered every fall and spring semester and features a very nice facility with professional state of art equipment emulating a nail salon of the nail industry. Students must pass the courses with C or better.
Florida Gateway College (Main Campus, building 18)
A Nail Specialist student only has to pass the FGC exit exam with an 85 or better, complete state-mandated services, and receive 240 hours to apply for DBPR Florida Nail Specialty licensure. Students do not take a state exam.
